I attempt to give the viewer a glimpse into a moment of time, a stolen second, an impression of our collective lives. In doing so my hope is to stir the soul and awaken a memory that is important to the viewer. A very spiritual relationship can occur between the viewer and the art. This relationship is deeply personal and unexplainable to others. It is the viewer's alone and occurs in a very private place within the viewer. If my work can open this intimate door and evoke an emotional or intellectual response then it has served a higher purpose. |
