Cheryl Button - Photography
Cheryl Button's mixed media work starts with the human form and explores the power of emotions that are layered in both texture and meaning. The Royal Oak native portrays her subjects with a sensitive and honest vulnerability. The androgynous and melencholy characters are somewhat reminiscent of a french mime existing in Picasso's blue period. One whose soul is visible from the outside with any sense of innocence stripped away and yet still speak hopeful toward tommorrow. |
